On December 12, to mark December 10, Human Rights Day, the SGI (Soka Gakkai International) and Amnesty International Japan co-organized the World Youth Forum 2021. The theme was “Young People and Human Rights Education: Listen to Their Stories and Learn from Their Experience.” Some 450 participants from 20 countries joined the online event. Two speakers introduced a video from “Stories of Young Human Rights Educators,” a multimedia educational tool developed by Amnesty International, the SGI and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. Three young activists from Morocco, South Africa and Serbia spoke about human rights challenges in their countries as well as their actions to counter them and joined a panel discussion.
