SGI Cosponsors Interfaith Event on Climate Crisis

On April 21, the SGI (Soka Gakkai International), Religions for Peace Japan and Kiko Network cosponsored the Japan Multi-Religious Conference for Climate Justice, organized by GreenFaith. Speakers from Buddhist, Shinto and Christian faith groups joined the online event, which also featured talks by climate crisis experts. Tomohiko Aishima, executive director for peace and global issues of the SGI, introduced climate initiatives taken by the SGI. GreenFaith Executive Director Fletcher Harper spoke on the global multifaith movement for climate justice and the potential role of Japanese religious organizations.
