From January 22 to 29, Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and SGI-New Zealand, together with other organizations, hosted the annual “Tūmanako! Children's Art Works for a Peaceful World” exhibition at the AUT City Campus in Auckland. The exhibition showcased more than 350 artworks created by students from 112 local schools. The first Tūmanako (“hope” in Maori) exhibition was held in 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
