On August 22, the Ministry of the Interior of Taiwan conferred an award upon Taiwan Soka Association (TSA) in recognition of its contributions to society. It is the 23rd consecutive year that TSA has received this award. The award ceremony was held in Pingtung County in southern Taiwan and was attended by Minister of the Interior Liu Shyh-fang.

TSA engages in activities to promote peace, culture and education—such as its Mobile Art Museum initiative for schoolchildren in remote areas and its relief efforts following natural disasters.
