Soka Gakkai to Donate in Support of Humanitarian Assistance for Nepal

In response to the extensive damage caused by flash floods that struck parts of Nepal on August 26, the Soka Gakkai has pledged to donate 5 million yen (US$ 31,279) to the Embassy of Nepal in Tokyo in support of humanitarian relief efforts. As of September 1, more than 950 people have lost their lives and thousands more remain missing in the wake of the disaster.
