Headquarters Leaders Meeting Held and New Leadership Appointments

On May 3, the 13th Headquarters Leaders Meeting of the decade leading to the Soka Gakkai’s 2030 centennial was held in Tokyo, Japan. Thirty-seven leaders from eight countries in Europe and Oceania attended. Newly appointed SGI Europe Cochairs Suzanne Pritchard and Robert Harrap gave an activity report and shared their determinations. President Daisaku Ikeda sent a congratulatory message. On the same day, as well as the SGI Europe cochair appointments, the Seikyo Shimbun announced that Daiki Nakamoto had been made SGI Europe secretary general. On May 4, the Seikyo Shimbun also reported the appointment of Terry Neel as SGI-Australia general director and Chris Steains as vice Oceania chief.
