From August 11 to 25, the annual exhibition “Tūmanako! Children’s Art Works for a Peaceful World” was held at Johnsonville Library in Wellington, co-organized by SGI-New Zealand and partner organizations. On August 12, another Tūmanako (“hope” in Maori) exhibition of local children’s artworks and poetry opened at Auckland University of Technology’s City Campus. The first Tūmanako exhibition was held in 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
