We are happy to provide information and answers in response to questions. If you are currently a member of the Soka Gakkai, however, we ask that you direct your queries to your local Soka Gakkai organization, as they will be better able to assist you with your questions.

Visiting the Soka Gakkai Headquarters or the Hall of the Great Vow for Kosen-rufu

Please click on the map below for information regarding facilities open to visitors. Please note that many of these facilities require sign-in at the entrance. In order to visit the Hall of the Great Vow for Kosen-rufu, you will require a letter of introduction from your originating Soka Gakkai organization.

Please note that on the day of your visit, before going to the Hall of the Great Vow for Kosen-rufu you need to attend an orientation at the SGI Headquarters building at which you will exchange your letter of introduction for an entry ticket.

Contacting a Soka Gakkai organization or center

I am currently a Soka Gakkai member and am moving abroad
If you are moving to another country and would like to get in touch with the Soka Gakkai organization in your new location, please contact the national headquarters of the Soka Gakkai organization to which you currently belong prior to relocating. They will assist you in making the necessary arrangements such as issuing an official letter of introduction and sending your name and contact information to the Soka Gakkai organization in the country to which you are moving.

If you have already moved, please contact the Soka Gakkai organization you belonged to prior to moving. They will help you get connected to your new organization implementing the protocol outlined above.
I am currently a Soka Gakkai member and would like to visit a center or attend a meeting while I am traveling
Please contact your national Soka Gakkai headquarters well in advance of your planned trip so that they can issue you a letter of introduction and provide you with contact details as appropriate. For privacy reasons, we are not able to provide direct contacts with Soka Gakkai members in other countries.

If you have already reached your travel destination, please contact your originating Soka Gakkai organization for assistance.
I would like to connect someone to their local Soka Gakkai organization
Please have the person search for their local Soka Gakkai organization in the drop-down menu below in the Directory section. Please note that countries without a Soka Gakkai center are not listed, in which case we are unable to provide contact information due to privacy reasons. In this case, please contact your local Soka Gakkai leaders to discuss the best way to support the person you are trying to connect.
I am not a Soka Gakkai member but am interested in learning more about Nichiren Buddhism

The Soka Gakkai has members in 192 countries and territories while there are 90 registered constituent Soka Gakkai organizations. Below is a list of Soka Gakkai centers that are open to visitors. Other centers are not staffed and only open when there are activities. As such, they are unable to accept visitors and are not included in this list.
